Both the PULSE and IGCA Programs require the participants to be actively involved in community service & environmental projects, for substantial lengths of time. Apart from this, the IGCA expects the participants to make donations to charities that they would wish to support for each of the three levels of the program.
Having run both these programs for about a decade, I have worked closely with several organisations doing remarkable work to address humanitarian and or environmental issues. Some of these organisations are mentioned below.
Those who are passionate about doing activities that stem from being Caring & Compassionate can align with any of these organisations that I have had the opportunity to work closely with.
Charter for Compassion:
The Charter for Compassion is a document that urges the peoples and religions of the world to embrace the core value of compassion. The Charter currently is available in more than 30 languages and has been endorsed by more than two million individuals around the globe. The 2 million cities & towns in the World, share common challenges like poverty, homelessness & education. 430+ cities found solutions by focusing on Compassion.
As an Ambassador for the Education Sector, Charter for Compassion in India, I subscribe fully to the Charter’s vision: creating a world where everyone is committed to living by the principle of compassion .
